MEP — Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing
MEP covers the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems that make a building work. We install them as one coordinated package on new-build and refurbishment projects, from first fix to handover, then service, test and fault-find them once the building is in use.
First fix / second fix
First fix covers the containment, cabling and pipework installed before walls and ceilings close up; second fix covers the fittings, fixtures and finishing connections that follow once the building is closed in.
New-build vs refurbishment
Whether it’s a housing development going up from scratch or an existing building being refitted, we coordinate the mechanical, electrical and plumbing works as one package rather than three separate ones.
Planned and reactive maintenance
Once a building is in use, we maintain its mechanical and electrical plant — heating and ventilation (HVAC), boilers, pumps, standby generators and building management systems (BMS). Most of this sits on a planned maintenance schedule that keeps plant running efficiently and compliant, backed by reactive cover for breakdowns.
How this differs from Electrical
Our Electrical service covers wiring, installations, testing and certification on their own. MEP brings the mechanical, electrical and plumbing disciplines together, whether on a project or across a building’s plant. Get in touch if you’re not sure which you need.
Who it's for
House builders, commercial developers, principal contractors and building consultants delivering to a programme, and the owners and managers of plant-heavy commercial buildings.
